Privacy

A child cannot consent. So we ask you, and we collect almost nothing.

This is the whole policy, written to be read. Hooda Kids is used by children under 13 with a parent, and we only collect information from the parent. If any of it is unclear, write to us.

In one screen One email address, yours, not your child's. No child account and no child sign-in. Up to Lesson 8, recordings stay on your device and are never sent to us. No ads, no trackers, and nothing sold to anyone.

What we hold

Your email and password On our server To sign you in and send receipts, and the date you confirmed it from the link we emailed. The password is stored scrambled, so we cannot read it.

If you sign in with Google On our server Google gives us your email address and an account number, nothing else: no name, no photo, no contacts.

What you picked at sign-up On our server Your child's age stage and reading level, so Lesson 1 starts in the right place.

Your consent choices On our server That you confirmed you are the parent or legal guardian, and whether you allowed the microphone, with the date of each.

Your plan On our server Monthly or yearly, its status, and the dates your trial ends and your plan renews.

Card and billing address With Polar Typed on Polar's checkout page. Polar is our payment provider and the seller of record. We never see your card number.

Lesson progress On your device Which letters your child has finished.

If you joined the waitlist On our server Your email, your children's age stages, what Quran teaching you have nearby, and, only if you chose to, a question for us and whether you would take a call. We use it to email you when we open and to plan the lessons.

What we refuse to hold

Recordings of your childUp to Lesson 8 a recording plays back on your device and is thrown away when your child moves on. It never reaches us, and nothing is kept to train anything.

Your child's name or birthdayAn age stage you pick is enough.

Photographs or videoThere is no camera in the product.

Location, contacts or device dataThe app runs in a browser tab. The only permission it asks for is the microphone, and only if you allowed it.

Ads, trackers, anything soldNo ad networks, no analytics companies, no data sale.

Voice, lesson by lesson

The microphone is the only sensitive thing here, so it gets its own table. It opens only if you allowed it at sign-up. Lessons 9 to 17 are not open yet; this is how they will work.
