The agreement between your family and Hooda Kids.
Written to be read. By creating an account or starting a trial you agree to these terms and to our privacy note. If anything is unclear, write to us before you sign up.
1. Who can have an account
Hooda Kids is used by children, but only a parent or legal guardian aged 18 or older may create an account. You confirm this when you sign up. Your child uses Hooda Kids through your account, on your device, with you nearby. There are no child accounts.
One account covers your household. Keep your password to yourself, and tell us straight away at [email protected] if you think someone else has used your account.
2. Free trial, plans and renewal
Every account starts with a 3-day free trial. You enter a card at the start, on the checkout page of Polar, our payment provider. If you do not cancel before the trial ends, your plan starts and you are charged:
- Monthly: $10 a month, renewing every month.
- Yearly: $49 a year, renewing every year.
Prices are in US dollars, plus any applicable sales tax. Plans renew automatically at the end of each period, at the same price, until you cancel. The price you start on is the price you keep: new lessons are included and your price does not go up while your plan stays active. One price covers every child in your family.
3. Cancelling
Cancel any time from the billing page. No email, no phone call. If you cancel during the free trial, you pay nothing. If you cancel later, your plan stays open until the end of the period you have paid for and is not renewed.
Polar is the seller of record, so charges, receipts, tax and refunds are handled by Polar under its own buyer terms. If you think a charge is wrong, write to us and we will sort it out with Polar.
4. What you get, and what it is not
Hooda Kids teaches reading the Quran with Noorani Qaida, in seventeen lessons, in the browser. A Quran teacher reviews the lessons. Some lessons are still being released; they are included in your plan as they open.
Hooda Kids is a learning aid. It does not replace a qualified Quran teacher, and the automatic listening that starts at Lesson 9 can be wrong. We work to keep the service running, but it may sometimes be unavailable, and it needs an internet connection.
5. Using Hooda Kids fairly
Use Hooda Kids for your own family's learning. Please do not copy, record, resell or share the lessons, audio, illustrations or Hoodie outside your household, and do not try to break, scrape or overload the service. Mosques and schools that want to use Hooda Kids with a class can write to us.
The Quran is not ours to own. What belongs to us is Hooda Kids itself: Hoodie, and the way we teach, record and illustrate the lessons.
6. Ending an account
You can ask us to delete your account at any time, as the privacy note explains. We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms or misuses the service. If we close an account that did nothing wrong, we refund the unused part of the current period.
7. Our responsibility
We provide Hooda Kids as it is and as available. As far as the law allows, we are not responsible for indirect or unexpected losses, and our total responsibility to you is limited to what you paid us in the twelve months before the problem. Nothing in these terms takes away rights you have by law that cannot be taken away.
8. Changes, law and contact
If we change these terms in a way that matters to you, we email you before the change takes effect. If you do not agree, you can cancel before then. These terms are governed by the laws of the State of New York.
